The Difference Between Weight and Rating
People confuse the rating with the reality. The rating is static. The reality is fluid.
Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) is the hard cap set by the factory. It does not change.
Gross Axle Weight (GAW) is what is actually pressing down on the tires right now. It shifts every time you move a passenger or load cargo.
